Please post in the comments under relevant posts your own power measurements. Make sure to tell us how you measured (Kill-A-Watt or Watts up or other meter) and what the thing you measured was doing at the time of the measurement.
Also don't forget to tell us how much power it uses while it's off or in standby mode (lots of things use lots of power while they are off)
